Data Protection

Last updated: May 17, 2018

As you may be aware, there are new data protection laws which come into force in May 2018. As a consequence of this, we are required to provide you with information on how The Coming Home Centre handles personal information about you and how to contact us if you have any questions about our data processing or the ways in which we contact you.

What we do with your information

We hold and process information which has been provided by you, including your name, contact details, next of kin, and service details for the purpose of contacting you, assessing you for any referrals we make for you and for anonymous statistical analysis which will be used to source funding. We may also track how you interact with our website and communications, in order to improve our work. We may also from time to time, contact you with merchandise offers or to invite or inform you of specific events, or to invite contributions of funding but this will be very rarely.

In some circumstances, and only with their permission, we may also hold and process the details of the partners of current service users in the same way as set out above.

We will hold and process this information indefinitely as part of your registration of the organisation. You may request further details about our processing activities, including a complete record of the data we store about you, ask us to correct the information we hold, or ask us to stop processing it, by writing to us Coming Home Centre, Pearce Institute, 840 Govan Road, G51 3UU or emailing us on info@cominghomecentre.org. Please note that if you ask us to stop processing this will mean that we are no longer able to inform you about the activities of the organisation or invite you to any events. You may also ask us to delete the information we hold about you and we will do so.

We may contact you by post, email or telephone, where we have the relevant contact information, unless you have previously specified preferences in this regard. You can change your contact preferences at any time by writing or emailing us on the addresses above.

We do not, and never will, share your information with any third parties except where we are compelled to by law or where you have given express permission to do so.

Finally if you move house please send us your new address and telephone number. If you change your email address please let us know.
