OUR

SERVICES

We are Community Veterans Support (SC045047) we run our daily drop in, the Coming Home Centre at the Pearce Institute in Govan, Glasgow.

We support Veterans with a range of services at the point of need.  A Veteran is anyone who has served for more than one day in either the Regular or Reserved Armed Forces of the UK.  All Veterans are welcome.

We provide a free daily hot meal and hot drinks Mon-Fri to Veterans in need.  Our mission is to break the cycle of social isolation and offer supported signposting to the wider network of Veterans organisation in Glasgow.

HEALTH & WELL-BEING

Socially interacting with others over a hot meal can help to break the deadlock of social isolation, develop confidence and improve overall health and well-being.

The journey of a thousand miles, starts with a single step.  If you are a Veterans and feel isolated please ‘drop-in’.

BIKE SHOP

The CHC has it's very own bike shop run by qualified technicians.

They refurbish, repair and recycle bikes for the local community. The technicians are both volunteers and one is a veteran himself.

They absolutely love to help and thoroughly enjoy working at the Coming Home Centre. If you have any bikes to donate please contact us using the link below.

SIGN POSTING

Our Centre can do a lot however it relies on other agencies for delivering a total package of support to Veterans in need.

We work with and refer to SSAFA, Erskine, Fares 4 Free, Poppy Scotland, DMWS, Help 4 Heroes, Rock 2 Recovery moreover any organisation we know that can assist your needs.

COMPLIMENTARY THERAPIES

Helen carries out complimentary therapies free of charge to veterans and partners. From Back Massages to Foot Care in a private and safe environment.

SUPPORT

The mainstay of support offered by the Coming Home Centre is simply, a continuity of place.  Somewhere you can literally just ‘drop-in’ for a hot meal and a blather, it sounds simple but it works.  We act as a hub to help you coordinate your support, empowering you as an individual to seek appropriate help.  We will always do our best within the remit of our training.

REFRESHMENTS

From a good old fashioned brew to traditional steak pie & chips. We provide free food & refreshments to all our veterans at the drop in centre, oh! and sometimes you might even get a sweet :).

Want to know more why not 'drop in' where you can have a chat with old comrades and even take in some pool, darts or even dominoes after lunch. It's up to you.
